Volunteering with theROC is a rewarding way to make a meaningful impact by supporting youth while developing new skills, building community connections, and gaining valuable experience to boost your resume and future opportunities.
Do you have a talent or skill you’d love to share? Whether it’s art, music, sports, tutoring, or anything in between, we’re always looking for new ways to IGNITE passion in youth through connection with mentors like you.
Mentors support youth in their academic journey, offering one-on-one guidance tailored to the unique pathways each young person chooses. This role is ideal for mentors with teaching experience or a passion for helping youth succeed in school.
Mentors build meaningful connections with youth by sharing conversation, encouragement and support in a relaxed, welcoming setting. Some prepare meals at home or onsite, while others help serve and create space for youth to feel seen and supported.
Mentors support and deliver skill-building opportunities by leading or assisting with hands-on workshops that teach practical life skills. From cooking to communication, mentors help youth build confidence and prepare for real-world success.
Mentors actively participate in monthly meetings to help develop fundraising strategies, plan events, and support our efforts to raise vital funds for theROC. This is a great option for mentors with limited spare time who still want to make a meaningful impact.
