Developing a sense of place within a natural environment enables young women to strengthen their relationship with both themselves and others. This program provides these girls with an opportunity to confidently step forward and make positive decisions for themselves and lead others to do the same.

Participants are provided an environment to learn orienteering, survival skills such as shelter, fire and team building, first aid and food preparation, with a Certified Wilderness First Responder and a Natural Leader Trainer from the Children and Nature Network and the Child and Nature Alliance of Canada.

Lasting Friendships

Being outdoorsy and camping is generally thought of as a masculine activity, however when you take an all girls group out into the wilderness you are able to strip away the preconceived gender roles. This allows these girls to define for themselves what it means to be a strong female. This novel opportunity makes for relationships that will last a lifetime!
